Terms of Use for VoiceMate (VoiceReader)
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the VoiceMate mobile application (the "App") provided by VoiceMate ("we", "our", "us"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Acceptance
You must comply with applicable laws and these Terms when using the App. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and Apple platform rules.
3. User Content and Responsibility
You are responsible for content you import, upload, paste, or process in the App (including OCR text, web content, PDF/EPUB content).
You agree not to:
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Upload or process unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
- Misuse or attempt to disrupt the App or its services.
You confirm you have rights/permissions for content you process in the App.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchases.
Subscription details
- Available plans may include monthly and yearly options.
- A free trial may be offered on eligible plans.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at purchase confirmation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
- Any unused free-trial portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Restore purchases is available from within the App.
Pricing and availability may change at any time as permitted by Apple policies and applicable law.

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be made through Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies.

The App may rely on third-party services (including Microsoft Azure Speech Services and Apple services). We are not responsible for third-party service outages or policy changes.

The App, including software, design, branding, and related materials (excluding your own content), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the App.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of:

For users on Apple platforms, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, except as required under applicable law. Your use of the App must comply with the applicable Apple media services terms.
